Members of the Toronto ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter were once again proud to be active at the SIGGRAPH Conference. This year our Chair, Jacky Bibliowicz, was once again the ACM SIGGRAPH International Resources Co-Chair. Additionally, our Member-At-Large Gillian Chesnais worked in the Real-Time Live! subcommittee. And our Vice-Chair, Kristine Oel, was there to make sure we stayed out of trouble!
As usual, the conference began with a day early with the ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter’s workshop, hosted by the Chapters Committee. It was an all-day affair where the Chapter leaders from around the world mingled and shared ideas on their most popular events. We must say we learned a lot and shared a lot as well! Watch our chapter presentation below, courtesy of the SCOOP team!
The conference then started in full swing and we rarely saw each other with so much incredible content to see! We did, however, make some time to stop by the exhibition and visit our Toronto partners, supporters, and sponsors.
Some highlights from the conference:
the Production Sessions for Antman and Avengers, where the actors’ costumes were also on display.
- the crash-test dummy simulation at the VR Village.
- the projection mapped skull sculpture in front of the Art Gallery.
Of course, no visit to LA is complete without having a large bowl of ramen noodles in Little Tokyo!
We hope you’ll join us there next time!
