The Toronto ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter is proud to invite you to join us on April 19th as our guest speaker, veteran game developer Julian Spillane, describes his experiences getting started in the industry as a programmer and becoming an entrepreneur at a young age. The talk will cover getting started as an independent developer, the transition from console development to mobile (and back again), and how to adapt and succeed in an ever-changing industry.
Julian’s presence in the game design scene stretches far back. In 2006, he founded the high profile studio Frozen North and in 2010 released Flip’s Twisted world (published by Majesco). Since then he’s held many other positions: Director at DHX Media, Unity instructor at BitMaker Labs, Co-president at IGDA Toronto and more recently co-Founder at Smiling Buddha Games. He also has a passion for music and is part of the Sega band The Blast Processors. His newest title, Use Your Words, is coming soon for XBox One, PS4, Wii U and Steam.
We hope to see you there!
